Rejuvenate Your Spirit: A Garden Witch's Spell

I advise any witchy gardener to have a rain barrel to make the most of stormy weather; you can use it to water your pots of herbs and your garden during sunnier days and dry spells. On the first day of seasonal rainfall, place a blue glass bowl outside as a water-catcher. Once it has filled with water, bring it inside and place on your altar beside a lit candle. Speak:

Water of life, gift from the sky,

Flame of Restoration: A Long-Distance Healing Spell

As a healer, you will sometimes perform spells for those who are not present. You can set up another altar to represent the recipient of your magic or where you can have candles dedicated to the ailing one.

Begin by setting up two altar candles—one in the northeast and one in the northwest. Light them, then place three red candles on the east side of the altar and one orange candle on the west. The red candles stand for health and strength, while the orange candle lights the way for optimism and encouragement.

Blessed Balm: DIY Lotion for Emotional Healing

For a dreary day and a dark mood, use the strength of this olden unguent to release both mind and body. This desert plant produces a protective gel which works as both a sunscreen and a moisturizer. • 2 drops chamomile oil

Pagan Prayer, Ariadne's Tribe Style

A lot of Pagans are hesitant to use the word prayer since it's so strongly connected with Christianity in modern western culture. But really, one of the things many of us do in our spiritual practice is pray. Prayer has been around a lot longer than Christianity has.

What is prayer? At its most basic, it's a conversation with a deity. In Ariadne's Tribe, we pray a lot, although often we simply call it talking with deity.

Let's All Howl Together

On this eve of the Full Wolf (Cold) Moon, I'm somehow feeling both very contemplative and fired-up at the same time. Must be the wolves calling to me. As I'd mentioned in my recent Patreon moon phases update to my patrons this month, this is the season when the canines get frisky. The wolves traditionally begin their mating season at the end of January into March, and according to the Farmer's Almanac, it is at this time you will most likely hear their beautiful, lonely howls. They are also often on the hunt in the cold of winter.

Of Wolves and Lions

Besides this moon phase having to do with wolves, big cats are also involved, as the Full Moon has moved into the sign of Leo the Lion. This signifies a desire to fully embrace your baddest, boldest self. Feel free to ignore any insecurities or hang-ups that might otherwise get in your way. The time is right to set your goals, follow through, and let your heart lead you where you need to go.

Setting Daily Intentions for Health and Wellness

To embark upon lifelong well-being, you will need to bring this awareness to every day of your life. Regular health rituals will go a long way toward this becoming a daily intention. Adorn your altar with fresh flowers and candles in colors that represent healing: yellow, red, and green. Every morning for seven days, light the candles and contemplate your future self in an optimal state of health, speaking this spell:

Today I arise on this glorious day
