One-Minute Magick with Tarot

It’s been a while since I’ve posted. The truth is, I have been really busy. That’s busy in a good way, with business, creativity, friends and family.

I like to do a lot of ceremony in my life. I don’t often have need to do specific magick, but I do like to do rituals for protection, growth, healing and inspiration quite regularly.

When I don’t have time to do a full ceremony, I can always call on my trusty tarot deck to provide the energetic support I need.

Even if I don’t have my deck with me, I can choose a card in my mind that represents the energy I need. Just by visualizing the card and feeling its presence I bring its energy into my life.

If you don’t know your deck well enough to keep all the images in your head, you can use this technique by looking through the cards and finding an image whose energy you require. Simply focus on the card, breath its energy in, and as you exhale, send its energy out around you.

You can do these quick, one-card “energy boost” spells anywhere, any time. You can use them to bring healing or to create an emotional shift for yourself. You can also use them to help create the opportunities you need, or to help mitigate difficult situations.

Here are a few examples.

For a fair outcome in a legal setting, use Justice.

For healing of any kind, use the Star.

For success with a work project, use the Three of Pentacles.

For quick resolution, use the Knight of Swords.

For quick action, use the Eight of Wands.

For inspiration, use the Ace of Wands.

For clarity and focus use the Ace of Swords.

Each tarot card offers you a particular energy.  At any moment, the magickal tools that comprise the tarot are available to help you in whatever way you need. All you need to do is choose the card, focus your attention, breath and release.
