We've been experimenting with the PDF-eZine format for several months with our Crone title and these new versions are big upgrade in resolution and usabilty. They work with most pads, tablets, readers, laptops and desktop computers using any free PDF reader like Adobe Acrobat. These DRM-free versions have the advantage of additional color art and photo content that had to be rendered in grey scale for the print magazines. Typical file size is between 6MB and 15MB which download in just a few minutes via a broadband connection.
We will still be producing printed paper versions for distribution thru bookstores and for subscribers who prefer the portability and durability of a traditional magazine.
Here are links to the table of contents pages in PDF-eZine format so you can get a feel of how eZine works.

It has been my experience that many people get involved in Wicca because they like the lack of rules. We don’t have a lot of “Thou shalt nots.” All we have is the Witch’s1 Rede, they say. But there are many unspoken rules of ethics that we think of as being essentially “Wiccan.” Why? Where do they come from?
The answer should be self-evident but often isn’t. What is the one piece of liturgy that Wiccans really have? The answer is the Charge of the Goddess.
Most modern Wiccans treat this prose as a lovely way to invoke the Goddess. It does work well that way. But consider the original meaning of the word “charge”. It is a command, a responsibility laid upon someone, an exhortation, a duty, an injunction, or being entrusted with someone’s care. It is a series of rules!

Many Witches and Pagans are enchanted by the beauty and power of magic. Those of us who are new to our Craft often get caught up in the promise of making our dreams manifest in the world. We may do spells to draw money or love into our lives, rituals to send protection and healing, or divination to understand a confusing situation.
But what happens when the change we're looking for is internal? What do we do when our mood and other psychological challenges are the main barrier to making our dreams a reality?
Dion Fortune defined magic as “the art of causing changes in consciousness at will.” This classic approach to magic is especially powerful when facing inner challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, and mood disorders.

In the spring of 1996 an elderly friend (who happened to be a witch) and I exchanged words back and forth in our favorite Middle Eastern restaurant. We’d had our meal, paid up, and were talking as friends do, over a final cup of tea. I was complaining about life: I was tired of working seven days a week in a job that I was completely burned out on. Life had another plan for the man I desired, and the man I didn’t desire wouldn’t go away!
My friend, a very wise woman, sat there for a while and listened to me rant before she interrupted. “What is your part in all this?” she inquired gently. I sat there, defenses up, but speechless, so she continued. “Your circumstances may seem out of control, but they are all connected to the past. If you see your part in the past and resolve your issues, things will change for you.”

To every man there openeth A way, and ways, and a way. And the high soul climbs the high way, And the low soul gropes the low. And in between, on the misty flats, The rest drift to and fro. But to every man there openeth A high way and a low, And every man decideth The way his soul shall go.
---John Oxenham
Believe it or not, even personal development coaches can sometimes feel themselves struggling with inertia, seemingly unable to figure out much less take the next step, feeling stuck. Recently, in the throes of a particularly impotent (figuratively speaking) period where I felt both my personal and professional life were going nowhere fast, I had an unusually vivid dream.
