Smoking Hot Horned God Chant

Call of the Horned God

Blessings be with our ancestors!

May it be so!

Mother of Witches, Lady of the Moon!

I adorn my King!

Lord of the Forests, King of the People!

Lord of Life and Death!

Life to the Horned God!

Life to us too!

Worthy of worship!

Worthy of praise!

He is coming!

He is rising!

Shining!

Rising!

Poet, scholar and storyteller Steven Posch was raised in the hardwood forests of western Pennsylvania by white-tailed deer. (That's the story, anyway.) He emigrated to Paganistan in 1979 and by sheer dint of personality has become one of Lake Country's foremost men-in-black. He is current keeper of the Minnesota Ooser.

for some reason this website tacks on stuff to the front of the link at the bottom of the article. It's just http://13knots.blogspot.com/2015/09/call-of-horned-god-song.html

Thanks for spreading this around Steven! I hope it gets used elsewhere. :)

I've made the change accordingly. I think we'll be hearing a lot more of this one.

The instinct to edit is deeply embedded. I rarely meet a text that (in my writerly opinion) wouldn't be improved by a tweak or two.

Not this one, though. Not a word would I change. Not a word.
