This week I got to do something that I never in a million years thought I would ever get to do. I sat down and interviewed the Author who wrote the book that literally changed the course of my life. She is the reason I am here on this blog, I am talking about the great Rachel Pollack.

Rachel Pollack is the author of 36 books of fiction and non-fiction, including two a1sx2_Thumbnail1_Rachel-from-Rubi-Rose-1.jpgaward-winning novels, and over fifteen books on Tarot.  Her 78 Degrees of Wisdom: A
Book of Tarot
was published in 1980 and has been in print ever since, described around the world as "the Bible of Tarot readers."  A visual artist, she created The Shining Tribe Tarot.  Rachel's work has been translated into 14 languages.

But today we come together to talk about her new deck, The Burning Serpent Oracle.

"Creating an oracle deck with Robert M. Place is a dream come true.  I have admired his beautiful Tarot art for many years.  When we decided to work together we thought of doing a wholly original set of symbolic pictures that would be both basic and mysterious.  As we developed our ideas we soon discovered that they worked perfectly with the European fortune-telling tradition known as Lenormand.  the Burning Serpent follows the Lenormand pattern closely, but develops the pictures, and thus the meanings, in ways that can be both subtle and dramatic." - Rachel Pollack

I am doing something completely different on the blog today. Instead of you reading my review I went one better and interviewed the deck creator. Which means instead of reading, just put in your ear buds and enjoy this weeks review!

Due to unforeseen technically difficulties we have been unable to get the audio player to load up onto the blog itself. So to listen to the complete interview Click here, put your ear buds in and hit play!
