Middle Earth Magic: Inspired Ideas and Seasonal Spells for Your Enchanted Life

I grew up on a farm in West Virginia and learned much about herbs, trees, animals, gardening, foraging  and so much about nature. I incorporate this wisdom I learned from elders in my family into my spellwork. When I finally left the farm, I majored in Medieval Studies, my attempt to emulate my idol, J.R.R. Tolkien. All these influences led me to my own blended brew which I call "middle earth magic," containing a mix of the modern and the time-tested "old ways."

Witch Craft: Kitchen Cupboard Incense

As you may have noticed from your reading, I treasure cinnamon incense. It brings a positive energy to your space, an appealingly sweet and spicy scent. It also brings prosperity and calm. What could be better? This may become one of your favorites, as well as it is truly easy to make.

Gather together:

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon of water

Small bowl

Baking sheet

Small glass votive container

Spoon the powered cinnamon into the middle of your bowl and mix the water in well, When the consistency is close to that of damp  sand, you are good. Using your hands, knead the mixture into your desired shape which could be  a cone, pyramid, ball of even a heart shape.  Place this onto your baking sheet at 325 degrees for 15 minutes. Pull it out and let it cool. Once your incense creating is room temperature, place it in the glass votive for hewn you want to use it. These DIY incenses take a few seconds to light but captivating scents  are so worth it.
