At this turn of the Wheel of the Year many people celebrate Imbolc, or Brigid. This holiday is in anticipation of the coming spring.

Brigid, as the Goddess of healing, smithcraft and poetry, challenges us to use creativity to inspire our healing, and to use our need to heal to inspire our creativity.

This is a piece of meditative magick. You will use the tarot images to help you focus your mind and ask Brigid herself for guidance. Your answers will come through your intuition and your connection with Brigid. You will feel your answers in your heart, in your mind, and in your dreams and visions.

You may do this as part of your regular Imbolc festivities or as a separate ritual. You may do it with a group or by yourself.

First create sacred space and attune yourself to Brigid in whatever way you prefer. Have a notebook and pen ready to write down the ideas and impressions you receive.

Then remove the four Pages from your Minor Arcana. These Pages will provide the energy for this magick.

In tarot, Pages are about learning, and about communication. You will use their energy to communicate with Brigid and to learn Her will for you.

Focus on the concept of your own healing, your own creativity and your own renewal. With each card in turn you will examine the image and hold it in your mind.

Hold the Page of Swords and ask Brigid: How do I need to strengthen my mind this spring?

Stay in a meditative state and wait to hear your answer. Write down whatever you get.

Hold the Page of Wands and ask Brigid: What creative project should be my focus this spring?

Stay in a meditative state and wait to hear your answer. Write down whatever you get.

Hold the Page of Cups and ask Brigid: What must I do to heal my heart this spring?

Stay in a meditative state and wait to hear your answer. Write down whatever you get.

Hold the Page of Pentacles and ask Brigid: What can I do to nurture my resources this spring?

Stay in a meditative state and wait to hear your answer. Write down whatever you get.

Take some time to record and interpret your impressions before continuing your ritual or closing your circle.

Even after the circle is finished you may receive insight through your intuition, signs you see around you and even in your dreams. Record these messages and spend time considering them.

Tarot is a wonderful tool for divination and magick. In this ritual it serves a third purpose by helping to form a bridge of communication between you and the Divine.

May Brigid's blessings be yours!
