But the Witch Says....

The baby is sick.

Go with the flow, says one.

It's the will of God, says another.

Keep it warm and give it some of this, says the witch.

I'm pregnant and I don't want another child.

Go with the flow, says one.

It's the will of God, says another.

Drink this three times a day until you've shed it, says the witch.

The laird's son raped my daughter.

Go with the flow, says one.

It's the will of God, says another.

We're gonna hex that f**ker's eyes out, says the witch.

Let them go with their flow.

Let them wait on their nowhere god.

Witches do.

Poet, scholar and storyteller Steven Posch was raised in the hardwood forests of western Pennsylvania by white-tailed deer. (That's the story, anyway.) He emigrated to Paganistan in 1979 and by sheer dint of personality has become one of Lake Country's foremost men-in-black. He is current keeper of the Minnesota Ooser.
