Hedge Witch: Into the Wilds…

Let me take you on a journey through the wilds of nature and back to the roots and bones of witchcraft, a natural witchcraft that works with the seasons and all the natural items that Mother Nature provides drawing on magical folk lore with a dash of hedge witch and gypsy magic too.

Healing Temple Meditation

Healing Temple Meditation

Take several deep breaths in and out…

As your world around you dissipates you find yourself in what looks to be a temple, there are stone pillars all around you with beautiful carvings, the floor beneath your feet is a breathtaking mosaic made up from tiny pieces of brightly coloured tiles creating an amazing swirling pattern.

You then look up and realize that although you are surrounded by walls the top of the temple is open to the sky which is a deep midnight blue and littered with bright sparkling stars.  It is then that you notice each of the stone pillars has a large flaming torch to light up the room you are in.

Then you hear a beautiful sound, the soft soothing strings of a harp…so you follow the notes through the temple to a large room that is the colour of a bright blue summer sky.  In the centre of the room is a sunken bath filled with the clearest, brightest blue water and floating with pink and red rose petals, the scent of the bath water is captivating and on the side of the bath is a huge fluffy towel and you just know that it is meant for you.

Stepping into the bath the warm scented water draws you in further until you are lying comfortably submerged in its healing soothing waters.  You can still hear the harp music and the combination of the beautiful sound, the scents and warm water starts to heal your mind, your body and your soul…

You can feel your worries, grief, pain and any emotional troubles just melting away…

You lay in complete bliss and allow the temple bath to work its healing magic…

You step out from the water and wrap yourself in the large welcoming towel that feels like a big soft hug.

When you are ready you leave the bath and walk back through the temple giving a word of thanks for the healing received.

Then slowly come back to this reality, wriggling your fingers and toes and gently open your eyes.

Rachel is a witch...has been for a very long time, not the green skinned warty kind obviously...the real sort - but she is also a working wife and mother living in Hampshire, England who has also been lucky enough to write and have published a growing stack of books on the Craft. She loves to learn she loves to study and continues to do so each and every day but has learned the most from actually getting outside and doing it. She regularly gives talks and workshops at pagan events. Rachel is also founder and an Elder at the Kitchen Witch online school of witchcraft. She likes to laugh...and eat cake...
