An Eclipse Prayer
From a child of the Earth Mother,
I call to you.
From one small point on this Green Earth,
I call to you.
From these two eyes, under the limitless skies,
I call to you.
May the wonders that I am about to see,
Bless me.
May the miracle in the skies above me,
Change me.
May my world pause for 113 seconds and then,
Remind me.
There is magic in the world.
There are forces that move and align,
Before me and above me,
That have blessed my ancestors before me,
That bless me in this moment,
That will bless this planet,
For untold ages to come.
As the Sun and Moon align,
In this right place
And in this right time,
As I stand with my Nature Spirit kin,
In the presence of the Gods,
Let me see the wonders of the sky,
And remember them,
This day and always,
And say, “Thank you, I am blessed”.
So be it.
