Or you could celebrate Solstice at Woodhenge, a reconstruction of Native American solar calendar at the Cahokia Mounds State Historic Site in Illinois.
In a more urban style, what about a Solstice parade in New York City? An outdoor musical celebration is marking the winter solstice on Sunday with just over a dozen small parades and people are invited to join in — with bells, horns, their phones, even their feet.
