A Faerie Haven: Living in Myth, Being Magic

For some people, magic isn't something they do, it is what they are. This blog focuses less on theory and more on lyrical mysticism, applied spellcrafting, experiential awareness of Divinity, and related topics. A haven for you who long to become your myth and live your poem. Faerie tales do come true.

Day After Election

Today I will not give up.

I acknowledge my terror,
but I will not give up.
I acknowledge my anger,
but I will not give up.
I acknowledge my sense of hopelessness,
but I will not give up.

I will feel my terror, anger, and hopelessness,
but I will not let them be my permanent home.

I will use my terror, anger, and hopelessness as power.

I will believe in love’s power.
I will believe in beauty’s power.
I will remain an agent of love and beauty.

I will not be a doormat; I will go into battle if need be.
I do not know if I will survive the coming strife.
But my spirit will live.

I will not surrender my integrity.
I will be an agent of love.
I will find calm in the eye of the storm.
I will bring peace to all my relations.
I will trust the Divine.
I will continue to make love and beauty my home.

This is perfect. Thank you for sharing. I'm going to print this and post in on my wall at work. Permission to share it with others? With credit, of course.

Dragon Dancer, I am so glad you like it. I wrote it for myself and in hopes it would help others, so am glad you think it will help people. Permission to share depends on context. In what context do you want to use it, eg your website, your Facebook page, a book? And thank you for understanding the importance of giving an author credit.

Twitter (@bsanderswebdev) and Facebook (don't have the link handy), and to a closed group of friends on Plurk (@OldMaidDragon).

I am building a website (probably two, in fact), and depending on the final layout and content, I might look at posting there since this works for so many things, not just yesterday, but I'd contact you again first and with the address for the site to see if it's something you'd want to be linked to.

"No" is totally fine too. Thanks for considering.

    You are the sweetest dragon!

I think the best thing to do on @bsanderswebdev, your Facebook wall, and your closed Plurk group is to post the following link, which is the link of the page we are on right now: http://witchesandpagans.com/sagewoman-blogs/a-faerie-haven/day-after-election.html

    Will that work for you?

I agree that, if and when you decide you want it on your webpage, we discuss it at that time.

    Blessings on your wonderful spirit!

    I say my prayers alone.

Thank you. Yes, I say my morning prayers alone too. And I have prayers I say later in the day with other people. Everyone is so unique: some people pray alone; some people pray only with others; and some of us need both. But I'm always impressed by anyone who has a regular morning prayer routine. I have found it so important in my life, but I know it can be hard to maintain. Blessings on your day.
