This week we’ll discuss the metaphysical properties of Double Terminated quartz crystals; what they are, how to determine if you have one, and how to work with their unique energy. We discussed crystal Clusters in an earlier post. We mentioned at that time that there are some crystals which don't grow on a matrix, they basically grow from a "seed" of silicon dioxide in clay. That is what we'll discuss in this blog post: Double Terminated crystals.

Double Terminated crystals have a termination on both ends. The point or end of the crystal is called the termination. It is confusing to refer to a single crystal as a “point” and to also call the end of a single crystal the “point,” so we call the pointy end a "termination".

This week we’ll discuss the metaphysical properties of Dolphin quartz crystals; what they are, how to determine if you have one, and how to work with their unique energy.

Physical: Dolphin crystals are crystals which have a smaller crystal attached to (riding along) the side, not quite big enough to be a Twin or Soulmate, but aligned similarly. They are sometimes called a baby or a sidekick. If you picture a dolphin with a baby swimming very near it, this is what the Dolphin crystal looks like - a larger crystal with a smaller crystal riding alongside. The "baby" in the Dolphin crystal may be long and thin as they are in the crystals above, or they may be shorter and fatter as in the crystals below: Alternately, the "baby" may be quite a lot smaller than the main point, as in these crystals: Sometimes the smaller or "baby" crystal will look like a baby jumping. As you can tell, not every Dolphin crystal will look the same, and some will look quite different than you might expect.

Curved crystals have a gentle, yet powerful energy. They help promote a flexible attitude. Look at the shape of this curved crystal, it looks like it would "go with the flow" doesn't it!?

Quartz crystal grows on a matrix. To picture this, imagine a hand; the palm would be similar to the matrix with the fingers resembling the crystal points. Smoosh a whole BUNCH of hands together palm to palm and you would have a cluster.

Metaphysical description: Channeler quartz crystals help you access higher wisdom, either in the form of your Higher Self or Spirit Guides, or of Angels. These crystals exude a crisp, regal energy. Channeling crystals can bring you love and light from beings in the higher realms.

This week we'll discuss the metaphysical properties of Bridge or Inner Child crystals. With all of these descriptions, it is my intention that you come away understanding how you might choose one crystal type over another to incorporate into your spell-work, meditation or rituals.
