When a major publisher publishes a new edition of a book that was previously self published or published with a minor publisher, the new publisher often retitles the book. There are two main reasons for that: firstly because book titles are a marketing tool and in the new digital age every word in the title is an important keyword and search term; secondly, to prevent confusion on the part of readers over which edition they are buying. The key word, pardon the pun, in this concept is "edition" meaning something that is edited. A new edition and a new title imply that the book has been changed, hopefully for the better, and the new edition is not just a reprint. It's important for my readers to know that Asatru For Beginners is the old book and Asatru: A Beginner's Guide to the Heathen Path is the new book.

DJ Conway's Ancient & Shining Ones became Magick of the Gods and Goddesses: How to Invoke Their Powers.
Kenneth Johnson's North Star Road became Witchcraft & the Shamanic Journey.
Alice Karlsdottir's Magic of the Norse Goddesses: Mythology, Ritual, and Tranceworking became Norse Goddess Magic: Trancework, Mythology, and Ritual.
Galina Krasskova's Runes: In Theory and Practice became Living Runes: Theory and Practice of Norse Divination.
Erin Lale's Asatru For Beginners became Asatru: A Beginner's Guide to the Heathen Path.
Tadhg MacCrossan's The Sacred Cauldron: Secrets of the Druids became Secrets of the Druids: From Indo-European Origins to Modern Practices by Teresa Cross (the author used her real name rather than her pen name for the new edition.)
Edain McCoy's Lady of the Night became The Witches' Moon.
Silver Ravenwolf's Hexcraft became American Folk Magick: Charms, Spells, & Herbals.
Valerie Worth's The Crone's Book of Wisdom became The Crone's Book of Charms and Spells.
