Just before Yule, the statue of Lleu Llaw Gyffes arrived at White Mountain Druid Sanctuary.  The plinth had already been put in place. Here is Kirk standing with the statue in place.

It is so amazing watching a vision become real.  And in our case, it starts in the dirt.  The place has been chosen and cleared for the Goddess Samona’s Shrine.

On Saturday July 16th at sundown, we completed a two year project to build a Shrine to Cernunnos.  There are earlier blog entries here that describe the process of building the structure.  This entry describes the final touches and the consecration.

The word Shrine can bring up various images for people from large buildings to a small niche in a wall.  The physical size and complexity of the Shrine is not so important as its purpose.  A Shrine is a place or structure regarded as holy because it is associated with a divinity, spiritual being or something held sacred.
