GoodWitch v BadWitch

GoodWitch bio:

Good Witch grew up in a Scottish-Swedish family and learned diplomacy during their innumerable arguments about the virtues of haggis vs. lutefisk. She adores her many pets, and the neighborhood crows follow her around and occasionally land on her head. Although she’s a ginger with a rather fanciful Pisces stellium and a penchant for bright, shiny objects, Good Witch never wears glittery pink dresses or nicks ruby slippers from indisposed Bad Witches. She loves weird music, bad movies, macabre books, and her adorable husband, who she suspects was a flying monkey in a past life.

BadWitch bio

Bad Witch is the daughter of a Scottish sailor from Orkney and a veterinary assistant from St. Augustine, FL. She is at home on land and sea but likes her condo in St. Louis the best. Her interests--besides badass witching--include rug-hooking, kick-boxing and she is an apprentice mead-maker. She has an opinion on everything--Aries, Moon in Capricorn--and never minds sharing it. Her two husbands find her adorably irritating but appreciative of their cooking. There are, mercifully, no children.

Good Witch v. Bad Witch: Looking After Baby
Dear GW/BW

I need some help. I need advice on a protection spell. I fear someone may be trying to manipulate people and things to try to take my child away and I want to take every possible precaution.

Good Witch v. Bad Witch: Thinking About the Devil
Dear GW/BW

Do you think it's really worth talking to the devil? What has he done for you? Who do you think is more powerful, Satan, or God?

Thor Vader (editorial note, this is a genuine question we got on Facebook, and we did not make up this pen name!)

Good Witch v. Bad Witch: Political Magic
Dear GW/BW

Seriously, how about a spell to save the Affordable Care Act? Can we bind the GOP from doing harm? Is there a more positive way to approach this nightmare and turn it around?

Good Witch v. Bad Witch: Magic Curious

"Dear Sisters:

I'm looking for some kind of help or guidance here. I always considered myself a Unitarian until recently when I started to question certain things in my life following a very bad relationship breakdown. Previously when I've been hurt badly, things have happened to the perpetrators, things I have not wished on them nor had control over, I always believed it was my late Mother helping me out. However having looked more into things and having tried 2 spells on the latest person to hurt me, they have both worked, to my amazement. How do I find out more and how do I go about seeing if this is the right path for me to follow?"

Witchy Love

"DEAR GOOD WITCH , BAD WITCH,

I need advice: I had a great connection with one of another witch. We are old friends, and  the connection was amazing. We have so much in common especially in our devotion to the Craft. (He and I have both been taught by the same high priestess.)

I met him last Wednesday at the beach I gave him a hug and a kiss and, as I walked away I had a feeling: “I will never see this man again."
We were supposed to go out on Friday evening and all of a sudden, he just won't talk to me or anything and he's known me forever, so I'm very confused.

I swore I would never date another person in the Craft, but it seemed so real. If there's any advice that you can give me, please. I can't get him out of my head and I just need to know what happened on his end. I feel like he put a energy spell on me and I just keep craving to hear his voice or something and I'm not sure if it's the rejection or a psychic attack.

I just feel so much in my heart and he knows, too, that we would have been a great team. Please if you can give me any insight or advice I'd appreciate it. Thank you so much.

Good Witch v. Bad Witch: Discord in the Workplace

"DEAR GW/BW

I'm having ongoing conflicts with a coworker. She doesn't think I'm doing my job properly (even though she doesn't know how to do my job) and she's constantly correcting the way I'm doing things because it's not the way she would do it. She gets angry and unreasonable if there's a mistake. She's always asking me if I'm doing something when it doesn't pertain to her in any way.

When there is a legitimate error with something, she over-explains the situation and repeats herself and then gets angry that "I'm not listening to her" when I've figured out the problem and begin to work on it while she's still talking. The last time a situation like this arose, she blew it out of proportion.

She got two calls from people who said they didn't get their welcome letters for joining our organization, and she assumed that meant I didn't send them. There is evidence to show I did, but she won't listen to me when I try to explain it to her. She always cuts me off when I try to speak, then she says I don't listen to her. As a result, she doesn't know the explanation for why things happened or were done a certain way and believes mistakes are being made all the time.

I've been going with the flow and trying to let things go, but then she went to my boss about my "mistakes" earlier this week. I spent an hour talking to my boss about it, and thankfully, she DOES listen to explanations and realizes my coworker is wrong. Today, my coworker is giving me the cold shoulder, and I'm completely okay with that.

I only work with three other people (including my boss), so when there are conflicts, it changes the atmosphere. Is there anything I can do magically or spiritually to make myself feel more peaceful at work and redirect my coworker's hostilities in another direction?"

Good Witch vs. Bad Witch: Bad Shaman

"Dear Good Witch/Bad Witch:

My mother has a friend who invited a so-called Native American shaman to live with her a little over a year ago. Everything was fine for a while, but then weird things started to happen involving spirits in her home.

My mother's friend was also becoming very interested in witchcraft, spell work, and rituals. She was starting to attract all sorts of people into her life, and many of them were either frauds or didn't know what they were doing.

Then scary things started to happen with the "shaman" and we found out that he wasn't a good person. He was doing things like invading people's dreams, conjuring and trapping spirits, and generally causing bad things to happen to those he was around. Then we found out that he wasn't really a shaman or a Native American, and that he was in actuality a modern day necromancer. Eventually, my mother's friend kicked him out of the house but now he's dating her sister, who is completely infatuated with the man -- at least when he's around. (When he's gone she complains about him behind his back.)

I've tried to help my mother's friend through a house cleansing and a witch's ball, and that seemed to help but now I'm at a loss about what I can do to stop this guy from doing any more harm.

What should I do?"
