[Important Notice] Site Update: Comments, Images, and Other Issues Fixed

Hey, friends and fellow Pagans.

So some of you may have noticed that we've been experiencing a number of technical glitches, errors, and other problems for the last two weeks. This came about as a result of a major update our site's host went through, which caused a lot of our code to no longer work as it had previously. After much wrangling, bugtesting, and other hard work, we're happy to report that these issues are no longer a problem.

Some of the issues you may have experienced include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Couldn't post comments (fixed)
  • Couldn't upload images (fixed)
  • Couldn't preview posts (fixed)
  • Couldn't access the site from European countries, particularly those in Eastern Europe (appears fixed, still assessing)

There is one drawback to these fixes, however. Due to the changes we made to our site's code any links posted to Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, etc. before today will no longer work. We wish this wasn't the case but it does appear to be an unfortunate side effect. Nonetheless, I think we can all agree that the current situation is much better than that of the last couple of weeks, especially since the link problem is only an issue for old links - links made from this day forth will not suffer from the same problem.

Please let us know if any other issues are bothering you so we can get right on it.

Aryós Héngwis (or the more modest Héngwis for short) is a native of the Pontic-Caspian steppe, born some 5000 years ago, near the village of Dereivka. In his youth he stood out from the other snakes for his love of learning and culture, eventually coming into the service of the local reǵs before moving westward toward Europe. Most recently, Aryós Héngwis left his home to pursue a new life in America, where he has come under the employ of BBI Media as an internet watchdog (or watchsnake, if you will), ever poised to strike the unwary troll.

Not very many, but yes, we have followers in Russia and Romania (to name two such countries where we've interacted with readers directly).

I have several different blogs from the Square in my Feedly reader. The RSS is now messed up so posts by other people are winding up in the feeds.

Soli, can you please email us directly about this problem. It's likely you'll have to re-subscribe because the cause of all the trouble was the part of the blogging program that assigned URLs, but I won't know for certain unless you give me more details. Please email me at editor2@bbimedia.com.
