Philosophy of Wicca

Philosophy of Wicca
by Amber Laine Fisher
ECW Press

Ninety percent of all books on Wicca are crap, and I say this as a member of the clergy in the faith. They somehow paint Wicca as some sort of Charmed-wannabe thing where everyone looks like anime characters, and rarely, if ever, include good information on the religion itself.

Guess what? Some of us are in this not to cast spells, but to honor the Gods. For us, there’s Amber Laine Fisher’s book, which is, plain and simple, the best book on Wicca the faith since Scott Cunningham’s beloved Living Wicca.

Fisher breaks down Wicca into logical, internally consistent thealogical precepts. Her writing is entertaining yet intelligent, and her coverage is comprehensive. There are very few books I consider to be the best thing available; this book, however, is invaluable and a must-have for serious followers of the Goddess. This should be required reading for every would-be Witch.
